This expansive wilderness is part of the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area (WMA)—a vital conservation corridor connecting Amboseli, Kilimanjaro, Mkomazi, Arusha, and even the Greater Tsavo Ecosystem in Kenya.
The region is known not just for its abundant plains and roaming wildlife, but also for uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido, and Ol Doinyo Orok—a photographer’s dream.

Wildlife & Conservation

As part of a critical elephant corridor between Amboseli and Kilimanjaro National Parks, West Kilimanjaro supports a rich variety of wildlife:
Elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, oryx, hyenas, buffalo, and even leopards can be spotted.
Wildlife viewing here often requires a patient eye, but the rewards are profound.
It’s one of the few places where wildlife coexists with vibrant Maasai communities in a carefully protected ecosystem.
